Damn, Syd Shaw is dope. She’s back with a new single called Roses Gold, a track that exudes confidence and creativity, coming complete with highly interesting production and some of the most inventive flows I’ve heard in a while, feeling almost like a spoken word piece. Shaw’s flow feels purposeful yet rambling, somewhat like a river flowing through the production’s ins and outs, creating a cohesive yet organic sound that brings her words to life. If you haven’t heard of Syd Shaw before, this is a good introduction.
