JalepenoPapii- Scoville Units EP

I’ve been looking forward to the Scoville Units EP for the past few months and JalepenoPapii delivers a unique project that has some real gems on it. JalepenoPapii’s nonchalant style matches well with the simple but dope production found on the tape, especially on Regular Regular Song where he spits about, well, regular things. That’s one reason I like JalepenoPapii’s music so much though, it doesn’t try to be anything it’s not and it brings that homegrown feeling to the forefront, making the music easy to grasp and relate to. He also lets his ideas run free which leads to some very interesting pieces of music. While it’s only six songs, there are a few that stuck out to me on Scoville Unites including Regular Regular Song and Guatemalan Spice Freestyle. Listen to the whole tape below.
