Phoelix- GSPL

We’ve been waiting for a while to hear Phoelix’s debut album and it’s finally here. GSPL is the culmination of years of work for Phoelix and it contains the wildly unique, abundantly creative sounds we’ve come to expect from the Chicago musician. The name GSPL is also fitting and you can tell there’s an underlying layer of soul throughout the seven track project even though the artwork creates such a symbolic juxtaposition. Each song has its highlights and while the tape is very cohesive, every track is focused and distinct making it one of those rare project that can be viewed as a whole or as individual pieces without the listener missing the point.
